DePoly SA is a chemical recycling company that is tackling the plastic problem. Of the 56 M tonnes of PET plastic we produce yearly, only 9% is recycled while the vast majority ends up in our oceans, landfills or incineration centers. DePoly tackles this problem by chemically breaking down PET plastic into its main chemical components (TPA and EG) at room temperature. These raw materials can then be sold back to industry to create virgin quality plastic items, creating truly circular economy for PET plastic.
